How long does it typically take to process an NEMT license application in New Jersey?

State rules do not specify an exact processing time. After OEMS deems your application complete, you must request your initial provider audit and vehicle inspections within six months ( 8:40‑2.1 ).

Are there specific training requirements for NEMT drivers in New Jersey?

Yes. MAV crewmembers must hold CPR certification and PAT Technician or MAV Technician credentials (or an OEMS‑approved equivalent); if oxygen devices are carried by the service, an EMT‑Basic must be on the crew. BLS ambulances must be staffed with two EMT‑Basics. See 8:40‑5.3 to 5.5 and 8:40‑6.3 .

What happens if my OEMS license lapses in New Jersey?
